MISSION
New Orleans Dance Renaissance is dedicated to the rebirth and expansion of social dancing in New Orleans, the birthplace of Jazz.  Through festive evening dance parties and world-class workshops, dancers at all levels will improve their skills, reconnect to Jazz music, friends and families.

During our New Year's festival, you and your friends will enjoy an action-packed weekend of THREE NIGHT DANCES featuring local live music and professional performances. In addition, on Saturday and Sunday, you will be able to attend optional WORKSHOPS taught by world-class teachers.

This is a New Year's celebration you won't want to miss!!!! Festival tickets are flexibly packaged so you can make this weekend what you want it to be.

Come join us, dance, and listen to great music and start your New Year's off with a bang in this unique city famous for its delectable cuisine, joyous music and friendly, outgoing people.

The New Orleans dance community can’t wait to welcome you and share in the fun. Save the dates, invite your friends and book your hotels early for DECEMBER 29-30-31, 2007.

Three Unique Dance Parties:

  1. A MASQUERADE BALL: This is our Masqued dance (Masques, available at the event, are required). Evening dress or sophisticated costume encouraged. Think fancy, classy, mystery…(No Jeans, no khakis, no T-shirts)

  2. A USO DANCE: This is our vintage party. Dress up in your 1930s' or 40s' outfits.

  3. A MARDI GRAS PARTY: Here anything goes!!!! Wear whatever you want. Be creative and use your imagination. The crazier, the better!!!

 

     Dance Workshops

Optional 10 hours of workshops.

Learn with world-class instructors in Swing, Lindy Hop, 20s' Charlestons and Balboa. Additional intro workshops in Salsa, Argentine Tango, Flamenco will also be offered.

TOTAL BEGINNERS ARE WELCOME as we created classes especially for you or those of you who wish to brush up on basics.

SINGLES WELCOME. This event is for everyone. During the workshops we will rotate partners.
